Even in ancient times on the territory of the Assy Valley where the Arba Wine winery is now located viticulture was one of the most important agricultural crops and amphoras found in mounds - clay vessels for wine, prove that even then people were engaged in the production of wine.

The Buddhist pilgrim Xuan Jian, visiting Semirechye in 629, attended a feast in the city of Suyab, which is located in the southwest of Semirechye and noted that wine was always present on the tables among the many dishes. Later in 1259 the ambassador of the French king Guillaume de Rubruk visited Semirechye and without concealed surprise spoke about the high level of local winemaking. ⠀

Now we proudly continue the work of our ancestors but of course we do not forget about the use of modern technologies for vinification. ⠀
