Root - related roses

We are proud that we have preserved the heritage of Soviet winegrowers. Vines planted more than 40 years ago are truly valuable to us because they grow on their own root.

There are very few such vines with unvaccinated roots in the world. The fact is that in the middle of the 19th century, phylloxera, a dangerous grape pest, came from distant American lands to the European continent. In a few years, this tiny aphid has destroyed 90% of France's vineyards. From France, it spread almost all over the world, leaving only a few untouched places on the map. The main way to combat phylloxera was the grafting of a European vine to the root of an American one. That's how it turned out that the main part of the vineyards in the world consists of grafted grape varieties.

Therefore, our root–related vines are a real asset. Nature itself favors grapes – cold winters and the type of soil protect our vines from this pest. This unique difference is reflected in the rich structure of our wine.
